Love shared by a dog and a human is the pure joy of lying by each other, seeing each others' face after a few hours of departure, and running on each other's side. You love each other merely because of who you are and the bond you share. You are the center of her world, and she is the center of yours. She would be upset when she can't find you, and you would be anxious when she is hiding. You don't need to share common interests; maybe she can't talk about engineering with you, but she would put her head on your arm when you rumble. Her little head is so soft that it melts your heart. Maybe you are not such a great person, but she jumps on you every time she sees you. You don't need to be charming, funny, witty, smart when around her because she doesn't care, not like humans. She just cares if you are here with her, if you can rub her little tummy, if you are alive.
What a good feeling it is that you can care because you care and she cares back because she cares.
